Who we are

ABX Intelligence is a software development business founded by Burhan Dairkee and Advaith Prem, building custom software for schools and organizations. We are based in Oman.

To complete before launch: add your registered trading name, commercial registration (CR) number issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, registered address, and a contact telephone number. Until ABX Intelligence is registered, do not describe it on this website as a registered company.

What this policy covers

ABX Intelligence builds custom software under written agreements. We do not sell products through this website, we take no payments through it, and there is no checkout, subscription, or automatic billing here.

This page explains our general approach so you know what to expect before you talk to us. The binding terms for any particular project are those in the written agreement for that project.

How pricing works

Every engagement is quoted individually, because every system is different. Before any work starts we provide a written proposal setting out the scope, what will be delivered, the timeline, the fee, and the payment schedule. Nothing is charged before you accept it in writing.

If the scope changes during a project, the change and any effect on fees are agreed in writing before the additional work is done. You will not receive an invoice for work you did not agree to.

Deposits and staged payments

Custom development is normally invoiced in stages tied to agreed milestones rather than as a single payment. Where a deposit is required to reserve time and begin work, the amount and its treatment are stated in the proposal.

To complete before launch: state your actual payment structure: whether you take a deposit, what percentage, your milestone schedule, your invoice payment period, and accepted payment methods. Do not publish terms you do not intend to follow.

If you cancel

You may end an engagement at any time by telling us in writing. When that happens:

• You are charged for work already completed and for work already commissioned on your behalf up to the cancellation date.
• Any amount you have paid that exceeds that value is refunded to you.
• Work completed and paid for is handed over to you in a usable form, on the ownership terms in your agreement.
• Fees for work genuinely performed are not refundable, since the time cannot be recovered.

If you cancel before any work has begun, any deposit paid is refunded in full unless the proposal expressly says otherwise.

If we cancel

If we end an engagement for a reason that is not your fault, we refund everything you have paid for work not yet delivered, and we hand over completed work. We will give as much notice as we reasonably can and will not leave a live system unsupported without arranging a handover.

Ongoing support and maintenance

Where support or maintenance is charged on a recurring basis, the term, notice period, and what happens to your data and systems at the end are set out in that agreement. Recurring fees already incurred for a period of service that has been provided are not refundable.

If something is wrong

If a delivered system does not do what the agreement says it should, that is our responsibility to fix, and we will fix it at no additional charge. Tell us as soon as you notice. We would far rather correct the work than argue about a refund.

This is separate from new requirements or changes of mind, which are handled as scope changes and quoted normally.

Disputes

If we disagree about an invoice or a refund, contact us first and we will try to resolve it directly and quickly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way is subject to the governing law and jurisdiction set out in our Terms & Conditions.
